Refund & Cancellation Policy
Effective: July 2026 · Version 1.0
What happens to escrow and to platform fees when a trade is cancelled, expires, or is disputed, and when a fee refund may be considered.
1. Cancellation & Expiry
A trade may generally be cancelled before payment has been marked as completed, subject to Platform rules. If a trade is cancelled before confirmation, or the payment timer expires without a submitted payment and no dispute has been opened, the escrowed cryptocurrency returns to the seller. No trading fee is charged on cancelled or expired trades.
2. Disputes
In a dispute, escrow is frozen and funds move only by an admin decision — either released to the buyer or refunded to the seller, based on the available evidence and applicable Platform policies. See the Trading Rules for the full dispute process.
3. Platform Fees
Platform fees that have already been charged are generally non-refundable. However, QuataTrade may review refund requests in exceptional circumstances, including:
- Duplicate platform charges caused by a verified technical error.
- Incorrect fee calculations resulting from a system malfunction.
- Other situations where QuataTrade determines that a refund is appropriate.
Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
4. Network & Third-Party Fees
Blockchain (TRON) network fees paid to move crypto on-chain are non-refundable, as they are paid to the network and not to QuataTrade. Fees charged by banks, Mobile Money operators, or other third-party providers are likewise determined by those providers and are not refundable by QuataTrade.
